The August jobs report is out.
The U.S. economy created 130,000 net new jobs last month. The unemployment rate stayed at 3.7%.
Average hourly earnings rose 11 cents to $28.11 cents per hour. That’s an increase of 0.4%, and up 3.2% in the last year.
There were some revision. June was revised lower by 15,000 and July was down 5,000.
The Census Bureau added 25,000 jobs while manufacturing added 3,000 jobs.
